Established in 2006, this sustainable winery is relatively new to the scene. But critics have already found lots to love – this impressive list of 90+ scores from legends like Robert Parker prove Alpha Omega has earned its spot in Rutherford. You can taste some of their current releases in the airy, high-ceilinged tasting salon.
For extra fees, your group can take a tour of the production facility to enjoy the estate’s sweeping views. Or, try the exclusive Single Vineyard Tasting to taste barrel samples and library wines. These extra experiences are a great addition to your Napa Valley wine tour, because they let you taste the results of Alpha Omega’s meticulous winemaking process: all of Alpha Omega’s grapes are hand harvested, sorted four times, and undergo natural fermentations.

For a taste of Napa Valley history, Pestoni Family Estate Winery is a must-see. The winery has been run by five generations of the Pestoni family, who still complete every step of the winemaking process by hand to honor the founder’s philosophy. The result is an impressive roster of reds, from Rutherford standbys like Cabernet and Merlot to a smooth Sangiovese and juicy Petite Sirah.
The visitor experience is perfect for your Napa Valley wine tour–guests are invited to explore the estate gardens and bring a picnic to enjoy before or after one of their tasting flights of current releases or library selections. Pestoni is also a great place to learn more about Napa Valley viticultural regions like Rutherford, and you can start with their online interactive vineyard map.
