Picking up where we left off last month on our “Dynamic’s Favorite Wineries Tour” is a fabulous winery steeped in Spanish history. The Spanish winemaking family Codorniu Raventos has been producing wine in the Penedes region near Barcelona since 1551. In the 1980’s they started acquiring and developing vineyard land in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. In 1991, they opened as a sparkling wine house called Codorniu Raventos. Over time, they started producing high quality vintages including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Artesa is proudly celebrating their 25th year of harvest in the Napa Valley. Today, the Codorniu Raventos family owns wineries in California, Spain, and Argentina.

Why We Love Artesa Winery

Known as the jewel of Carneros, this winery is stunning. Perched high on a hilltop, you will enjoy a panoramic view of their beautiful 350-acre estate, lush vineyards, Napa Valley, and even the San Francisco Bay! The architecture blends seamlessly with the landscape and is designed to stay naturally cool. You can visit their barrel room two stories below the main entrance and see how their small wine lots are fermented, aged and blended.

Artisa offers a variety of wine tasting and pairing options to visiting wine enthusiasts. It’s hard to choose just one! From their general Estate Reserve and Limited Release tastings (10am-5pm) to their more elaborate tastings and pairings, there’s something for everyone. Our favorite pairings are the “Pintxos and Wine”, “Tapas and Wine”, and of course the “Chocolate Indulgence” pairing. But, don’t take our word for it. Come experience it for yourself!

This winery epitomizes the “Napa Valley experience”. It starts the moment you pull into their gorgeous estate and take in the spectacular view. It continues throughout your wine tour experience and culminates with tastings (or pairings, if you choose) of their hand-crafted, high-quality wines. Let us know if you’re interested in Artesa when you call (707-252-2300). We’d love to have you on our next Dynamic Napa Valley wine tour!
